OUR TEAM
Eric Marcotte, Co-founder
Eric is a co-founder of Mobile Escapes, a qualified teacher in Ontario, and a co-director at the Ontario Educational Leadership Centre (OELC). With over 20 years of experience as a magician, Eric’s strong suits lie in his artistic and creative flair. A true visionary, he drives the design and aesthetic elements of every escape room, ensuring that each puzzle is as immersive as it is challenging.
Nick Marcil, Co-founder
Nick is a co-founder of Mobile Escapes and a qualified teacher in Ontario. With extensive experience as an educator and co-director at the Ontario Educational Leadership Centre (OELC), Nick is the administrative guru behind the scenes—handling emails, invoices, and calls with precision. Beyond his administrative expertise, Nick channels his creativity into designing intricate puzzles that challenge and engage participants, making each escape room experience truly memorable.
Alex Walter, Developer
Alex joined Mobile Escapes in 2020, bringing his expertise in business and web development. He built our virtual platform from the ground up, turning Eric and Nick's creative ideas into functional realities. Alex has also played a key role in shaping our marketing strategy, helping expand Mobile Escapes' reach across the country and internationally.
The story
- 2016 -
🚀 Official launch of Mobile Escapes by Eric and Nick, both qualified teachers in Ontario at the time.
- 2018 -
🙌 Eric and Nick left teaching to pursue Mobile Escapes full time.
- 2018 -
🍿 Created escape rooms and puzzles for four seasons of the TV show Échappe-toi si tu peux, which aired across Canada.
- 2019 -
🌎 Launched our Escape Cards, now sold in over 30 countries.
- 2020 -
🕵️♂️ Alex joins our team as a developer, which leads to the creation of five virtual escape rooms played by over 1,500 companies worldwide.
- 2023 -
🧩 Introduced PuzzleBlitz Circuits, transforming local points of interest into puzzle-solving games.

📈 Exciting projects are coming as we continue growing and expanding our puzzle-solving experiences.
